Profile

About me

Tech Lead and Senior Full-Stack Developer at TEAMWILL, in Tunis. 9 years of Java / Spring Boot and PHP / Symfony on business software: ERP, document management, CRM and invoicing, portals and distribution software. And AI at the heart of my recent projects.

On e‑Flo, the software suite that succeeds Efficom for automotive distribution groups such as GEMY and BODEMER, I bring AI into the business: document analysis with OCR, a conversational chatbot, semantic search, machine-learning recommendations. I take part in the workshops with the client and turn their needs into technical solutions.

Before that: an ERP designed from scratch (HR, inventory, invoicing, accounting), applications for the public sector, a document management system with full-text search, an e‑commerce site. And alongside, I am building a multi-tenant SaaS platform on my own: 14 microservices, a web app, a mobile app, a browser extension and AI wired into the business.

Day to day: architecture, estimation, leading developers, code review and production releases. My playground: Spring Boot, Symfony, Vue.js, React, Kafka, microservices, the Azure and AWS clouds, and AI.

Industries

The businesses I know

ERP, document management, CRM and invoicing, portals, e‑commerce: since 2017, I have been building management software for very different businesses.

  • Business management (ERP)

An ERP designed from scratch at IT Concept: human resources, inventory, invoicing and accounting, in DDD.

  • Document management and archiving

A complete document management system on the ALD project: digital archiving, indexing, full-text search, versioning. Then OCR and AI‑driven document analysis.

  • CRM, sales and invoicing

Sales pipeline, lead scoring, quotes, invoices and credit notes, payment reminders, accounting exports and Factur-X e‑invoicing, in my side project.

  • Distribution and dealer networks

Software suites and portals for automotive distribution groups, leasing companies and manufacturers: more than 500 points of sale, interfaces with software vendors and partners’ information systems.

  • Public sector

Scheduling, human resources, contractors and events for public administrations, with their decision-making dashboards.

  • E‑commerce

Catalogue, cart, online payment with the Stripe API and order management.

  • Cloud and modernisation

Legacy applications migrated to Azure, containerised and automated: −70% server resources, 99.9% availability.

AI

AI in production

The AI I put into production is wired into real business data, measured, cost-controlled, and always under human oversight.

  • Provider-independent

One interface, three adapters: Anthropic, Mistral to keep data in Europe, Ollama for local models. The provider is chosen per client and per entity, across several levels.

  • Costs under control

Monthly token quotas per client and a usage log per feature, visible in the admin console.

  • Reliable document extraction

PDF purchase orders read as text, or as images when the text is missing. Output validated against JSON Schema with one repair attempt, then checked against the document’s text and arithmetic. Versioned prompts and mandatory human validation: nothing is created automatically.

  • An AI that writes its own rules

On partner web portals, the model proposes parsing rules from anonymised samples. They are kept only once validated, replayed, and proven better than a rule-based version.

  • Smart scanning

OCRmyPDF and Tesseract, barcode reading, then each scan matched to its order and its document type.

  • Business assistants

CRM: lead scoring, next best action, drafts, intent, urgency and objections. Streaming support chatbot, on‑device OCR on mobile.

  • Inside enterprise workflows

A workflow engine with SLAs and approval circuits, 51 Kafka topics and a transactional outbox: AI fits into reliable, multi-tenant processes.

  • At TEAMWILL, on e‑Flo

Document analysis with OCR, a conversational chatbot, semantic search and machine-learning recommendations, with LangChain and the OpenAI API.

  • Next step

RAG on pgvector and tool-using AI agents, under study.

Architecture

How I design software

  • Business first

I take part in the workshops with the client: a good technical solution starts with a well-understood need.

  • Hexagonal architecture and DDD

The domain at the centre, shielded from the framework and the infrastructure. Ports describe the needs; adapters plug them in.

  • Microservices, without dogma

Split when the domain and the team justify it, not before. Events and message queues when the flows call for them.

  • AI wired into the business

OCR and document analysis, chatbots, semantic search and RAG on the company’s real data, with LangChain and the OpenAI API. Not a demo: a feature in production.

  • Robust interfaces

Reliable REST and SOAP web services between software suites, ERPs, external vendors and partner information systems. Configurable connectors (REST, SOAP, SFTP, webhooks) with retries, a circuit breaker and an error queue.

  • Multi-tenant by design

One PostgreSQL schema per client, permissions checked on the server, configuration inherited across several levels: one product for very different clients, without a fork.

  • Measure, then optimise

−70% server resources at Stellantis, −60% response time on e‑Flo, real-time monitoring and alerting.

  • Industrial-grade quality

TDD and Clean Architecture, 80 to 85% test coverage, CI/CD and infrastructure as code, releases with no downtime.

I also write about these topics: microservices versus monoliths, PHP 8 versus Node.js, feature flags with Symfony, CQRS.
